Into The Rain

The lighting cracked across the sky.

You held onto me tighter as the storms drew nigh.

We watched the clouds advance,

We felt the gentle wind,

We heard the thunder roll,

We just soaked the beauty in.

I looked at your beautiful face,

You looked back at me.

Your eyes sparkled like diamonds,

As a bolt of lightning split the night behind me.

That’s when it started,

Ever so slowly,

It grew and blossomed around us,

And our grand sheltering tree.

We watched the diamonds fall,

And splash all around,

It sounded like a choir,

That sang ever so soft.

You grabbed me by the hand,

As you pulled me from our shelter.

We danced to the music,

In the darkness of the night,

We didn’t care what people thought,

We only saw what we felt was right.

Nobody could tear us apart,

Nobody could shatter our young hearts.

We wanted nothing more,

Than to share our deepest thoughts.

You looked deep into my eyes,

I looked back into yours,

Nothing’s more beautiful,

Than this night that we share.

On and on we went,

As the glitter fell around us,

Nothing felt greater,

Than dancing into the rain.

On the Breath of the Wind (poem)

On the Breath of the Wind

All of those wonderful nights,

All of those cherished moments,

All of those treasured memories,

Gone, on the breath of the wind.

Even to this very day,

After so much time has passed,

I still hear your voice,

In the still, quiet wind.

I walk in this house,

I look all around,

I try not to cry,

But my knees still hit the ground.

As I sob every so silently,

I hear a small, quiet sound,

It’s not that of the wind,

It’s not that of a breath,

The sound that I hear is your love,

That resonates deep within.

I hear it from deep inside,

It gives me strength to stand.

I wipe my eyes dry,

And I hear your voice again.

It is calling my name,

Ever so sweetly,

At last I see you,

With mine eyes again.

I run to your arms,

And wrap you up tight,

I said, “I’ll never let you go!”

You replied, “That’s quite alright.”

At that very moment,

I hear the clock toll,

I open my eyes,

And see you’re not there.

That’s when I realize,

That you, my dear,

Are gone forever.

What Would It Be Like (Poem)

What Would It Be Like

What would life be like,
If I never knew your name?
What would it be like,
If I never saw your face?
Would I find someone else?
Would I be better off?
Would my heart still be crushed,
And shattered,
And broken in two?
Would I cry every night
And wish you were here?
Would I have learned that not everything is as it seems?
Knowing you has been an experience.
Through it I have gained so much.
Yet, I have lost even more.
Why can it not be like it was before,
When I didn’t worry what you thought of me?
You don’t miss me,
But I miss you.
I wish to have the days back
When we laughed and cried together.
As every second passes,
The memories get further and further away.
I hate the empty feeling.
The ripped, bleeding wound I feel in me.
I gave you my heart,
To love and to cherish.
You took it from me,
And broke it in pieces.
This is for the better,
I don’t have to worry.
There’s one last thing to say,
And it is, “I’m sorry.”

What About Me

What's it like to be without me?
Does it feel great?
Does it feel grand?
You know I love you.
You know I always have.
I waited for you every second of my life
and knew that i wait not in vain.
When I saw your face that night,
Only one thought ran through my mind.
"This is the one for me!"
As time passed by a day at a time
I slowly realized that I love you more and more
And that you never even cared.
What did I mean to you?
Anything at all?
I sit here begging you to tell me something.
Anything.
Just one word is all I need.
My only wish is that you were here with me.
But what does that matter to you?
I'd call you and text you.
I'd try to make you see it.
All I want is for your eyes to open
and that you will see me.
I've gone through so much.
I've tried so hard.
Why can't you see that I miss you?
Why can't you see that I want to be with you?
I hope you're happy the way your life is.
I pray it gives you everything you ever wanted.
As for me, don't worry.
I'll figure something out.
Sometime.
Somewhere.
But for now, all I see is darkness through tears.

The Cruel Game (Poem)

The Cruel Game

I feel it deep inside.
I hear it in every sound.
You see it in my eyes, 
But you just look at the ground.
I thought I knew what it was.
I thought it would last forever.
As every second passes,
I wish I was with you more.
I can’t bear to be alone.
I can’t stand all of the pain.
I’m swimming in an ocean,
No land in sight.
Just dark waters as far as my eyes can reach.
I call out your name
And ask you to rescue me.
Your ears are deaf to my voice.
You don’t hear the breaking of my heart.
I feel myself being pulled downward.
Down to my death.
The water fills my lungs,
The darkness fills my heart.
I wish for the end,
But keep falling to the depths.
I want it to be over,
But it never even got started.
The only noise I hear is my own heart being shattered.
I wish you were with me,
That you’d never let me go.
That we’d be together for eternity,
That nobody would tell us no.
I reach out for your hand,
I call out your name,
Nobody is listening,
Love can be such a cruel game.
